PJ Sykes, a self-taught photographer from Richmond, VA, shoots visceral, compelling live shots that have appeared in national publications such as SPIN, Paste, RVAmag, Skyscraper Magazine and featured on the websites of Touch and Go! and Dischord. Tired of seeing less-than-stellar live rock photos, PJ began shooting at local shows six years ago. He enjoys being able to present to others what he sees—the story of the live musical experience.
